In this module the students learn about basic concepts of marketing. This includes the understanding of business models of commercially operating companies as well as the basic tasks, processes and instruments of the marketing management process.
The students know basic approaches for the analysis of business models and can use instruments like the Business Model Canvas to analyse and present business models of companies in a compact way. The students know basic procedures as well as the sub-areas of the marketing management process and are able to place the area of marketing communication in this context. Students can use selected instruments and methods to analyse markets and companies. The students are able to analyse and explain marketing goals and marketing strategies of companies as well as the operative marketing measures derived from them.
